Grounded

I see an interdependent arterial network in the human body and Nature. These are personified through figurative sculptures where the elements of the human body and the plant life, merge into each other with the luminescence of the porcelain body.

 

Arteries in the human body distribute life force energy. Veins in leaves are connected to stems supplying nutrients to the entire plant. Witnessing these parallel and natural rhythms of existence, and the pattern of the ever changing but constant core of the universe, is expressed through a symbolic imagery.​
